Palisades leaf peepin’

Remember the trail by my home that I keep mentioning as needing to get my tail to more often? Yeah, that one. Well, it’s the best spot to enjoy the aspens and fall colors.

“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor...and autumn a mosaic of them all.”
~ Stanley Horowitz

This display of images is specifically for you. No words necessary. I hardly hiked the two mile stretch I usually do along this trail because I paused to take pictures far more than I actually walked. I wanted to share pics with friends and with you; therefore, I snapped photos endlessly to capture the gorgeous fall vibes. I hope you enjoy leaf peepin’ vicariously through these snapshots of a trail that offers its beauty to me in each season.

Then, there are the images that deserve to be showcased at full size:

The overcast afternoon lighting added a bit of drama to the scenery.

Of course, I attempted the wildflower swoop technique on the fall colors, which didn’t turn out as well as I thought it may. That will be reserved for wildflowers only in the future. Timelapse videos did thrill and delight me though so I’ve shared a version below even though it distorts a bit on the computer screen. Finally, there is a panorama view of the bursting colors I experienced along the Palisades trail.
