an outing with TAJ
What better way to make up for loss of adventure by going on a side by side exploration in the Pryors together?
Due to wildfires, TAJ and I made the difficult decision to forego a week of off-roading adventure with his family in eastern Washington. I worked instead. However, I still asked for the weekend off to recoup my losses and we went out to the Pryor Mountains in the side by side. What did we find?
A variety of terrain. Peace. Some cows. And an epic canyon. Also, we discovered the need to really plan ahead as far as figuring out a route is concerned. Don’t worry, I didn’t argue with TAJ over his mapping system. I just went along for the ride. ;-) Oh! And I didn’t fall asleep on the way back this time, haha!
I appreciated the rocky trails since I mostly panicked the entire ride about starting a grass fire in the dry conditions. (We didn’t. whew) Taking the side-by-side out for a cruise has become our new standard mode of adventuring together rather than hitting the trails by foot like we used to. It’s been a bit of an adjustment for me but I do really enjoy the lowkey rides we take together; blasting music in our headphones and admiring the landscapes around us.
