Renaissance Faire
I choreographed a Midsummer Night’s Dream Fae collection for my students to perform and decided to join in the fun.
If you’ve been wondering what I’m up to…not much. I started a new job and it’s seriously put a damper on me getting out onto local trails for much needed exploration time. Another project I wrapped up is choreography for my students to perform at the local Ren Faire.
It’s no surprise to you I bet that I joined in one of the dances for funsies. I ran a dance camp (the dance industry refers to them as summer intensives) specifically for this opportunity too. I enjoyed meeting younger students that I will be working with during next season and watching them perform a seven-minute-long dance I taught them over a three-day workshop. They performed beautifully and I am of course a proud teacher!

My heart is with all of the communities across the west in the grips of a wildfire crisis. Spokane is the most notable this season but there are many, many too many others also experiencing tragedy. We knew this fire season would be treacherous and here we are. I hope all of them become fully contained soon and it rains to clear the smoke out.
This idea reminds me I haven’t shared important information, such as stewardship. For example, it may be wise to share a post about how to ensure your campfire is out and what rules exist pertaining to campfires in the back country. Is this something my audience would be interested in me covering? Or information they’re already aware of? I wonder. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy the spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
Finally, you are wondering what I meant by updating the website. While I’m not comfortable indulging you on that secret, I’m pretty sure it’s something you will enjoy and find to be a natural progression. Which is why I am attempting to take full advantage of this momentary pause from adventuring. Don’t worry though, you won’t have to wait long for another tale since I am scheduled to work a trail maintenance crew all weekend in a week.
